This is a great time to join Lee Health! We currently are looking for an Oncology Pharmacist to join our team. Collectively, the Regional Cancer Center is one of the largest community cancer treatment centers in the state of Florida, providing outpatient oncology and infusion therapy. Current expansion of the oncology service line includes the addition of medical oncologists, increasing the need for talented oncology pharmacists to join the team. Lee Health offer inpatient and outpatient oncology services and Lee Memorial Hospital has a medical and surgical oncology floor for adult patients.
The oncology pharmacist will be responsible for direct patient care of the adult inpatient and outpatient populations. The oncology pharmacist is expected to sustain an environment for the safe, rational, effective, and efficient use of oncology medications prescribed to patients of all age groups. Responsibilities include providing clinical services such as antiemetic prescribing, Neupogen and Procrit monitoring, multidisciplinary medication management, oral chemotherapy verification, education, patient counseling, etc. as well as preparation and dispensing of medications to oncology patients. The oncology pharmacist is responsible for the preparation, dispensing, and monitoring of medications used throughout the facility. Pharmacists are responsible for the direct supervision of technical support personnel. All job duties shall be performed in accordance with all applicable State and Federal laws, professional practice standards, and policies and procedures of the health system/pharmacy department.
BS Pharmacy (5-year degree) or PharmD from College of Pharmacy accredited by American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP).
The preferred candidate would have previous experience in Oncology Pharmacy. PGY1 or PGY2 in Oncology a plus.
Licensure: State of Florida Department of Professional Regulation, Registered Pharmacist Licensure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, data entry skills, analytical and basic math skills required.
