If you’re looking for the opportunity to practice at the highest level of your profession, join us at our 977-bed, Level I Trauma facility.Summary of Essential Job Duties:The Drug Use Policy Specialist Pharmacist is responsible for strategic planning for biologics and therapeutic advances; collaborating with medical staff in development of evidence based guidelines; evaluating new drugs for formulary and development of content for P&T Committee; serving as a resource to staff on therapeutic issues and target drug programs; maintaining the online formulary; coordinating and editing the twice yearly pharmacy newsletter; precepting pharmacy students and residents; and staff inservices. The pharmacist works collaboratively with other members of the Drug Use Policy team including antimicrobial pharmacist specialists, the medication usage evaluation pharmacist and the Clinical Coordinator. Qualifications: licensure in California, Pharm.D. with DI residency and/or equivalent experience in Drug Information and formulary management. Exemplary oral and written communication skills as well as a strong commitment to quality care and customer service are also required.This position will staff on the floor 1 weekend every 4th week.Note: New Hires must successfully pass a background check, a prohibited substance screening and a pre-employment physical.
