Pharmacy technician performs all tasks which are not required by law to be performed by licensed pharmacist. Performs all pharmacy technician and clerical duties. Position requires National Pharmacy Technician Certification and institutional specific pharmacy technician IV certification.
Basic Computer Knowledge
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
A minimum of 2 years in hospital pharmacy.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification from the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
Certification from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
Completion of in-house IV technician certification program (40 hours didactic/80 hours on-the-job sterile admixture training)
