We are currently seeking Medical Assistants for our medical group offices located throughout Lake and Cook counties. Full-time positions are benefits eligible. Hours range Monday – Sunday 7:00am-8:00pm.
In this role, you will:
Greet patients and escort them to exam room
Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
Assist in procedures as needed including room set-up, preparation, clean up
Provide front office support as needed
Administer oral, topical and injectable medications, as ordered by the physician
Triage phone calls, with follow up to patients pharmacies, triage patient calls and messages within the office under physician direction or an approved protocol
Injections and phlebotomy may be required
Our ideal candidate will have:
AMT or AAMA certification preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred
CPR certification through the American Heart Association required
One year of related experience required; previous experience working in a medical office is preferred
Minimum typing speed of 20 words per minute required
