Participation in patient education; evaluate, monitor and modify drug therapy; provide recommendations to optimize patient outcomes; minimize safety issues; ensure cost effectiveness; and provide drug information;
Independent research, introduction and implementation of new programs, policies & protocols and performance improvement related to area of specialty;
Ongoing monitoring of all oncology/infusion patients for appropriate response, adverse drug event monitoring and reporting;
Coordinate training and education of Pharmacy staff and students
Participate in clinical research trials related to oncology and infusion therapy.
Education: Doctorate of Pharmacy required. Pharmacy residency with strong oncology component required.
Skills: Strong communication, project management
Experience: Minimum 2 years hospital Pharmacy with Clinical oncology experience.
Certification: License to dispense Pharmaceuticals in the State of New Jersey
