Under the direction of the Assistant Director in their specific area of responsibility, the scope and breath of responsibility for the Coordinator, Pharmacy Services will include direct oversight of Geisinger pharmacy services for their assigned areas. This Coordinator will develop, implement, and provide supervision of comprehensive drug therapy management for Geisinger which includes processes that support and enable optimal outcomes. The Coordinator should constantly seek to identify and take advantage of opportunities to improve the health and wellness of the patients served by Geisinger in conjunction with the overall goals and objectives of the System. Additionally, this Coordinator will oversee the management of day-to-day operations of the assigned pharmacy areas, including management of pharmacy staff, and is expected to provide Clinical Pharmacist services as required.
This Coordinator must possess excellent communication skills, a high degree of emotional intelligence and demonstrate the ability to function at a high level in a team-based environment. The Coordinator will serve as a mentor and a role model of pharmacy practice for pharmacy staff as well as any learners in the system.

Works collaboratively under the general direction of the Assistant Director, as well as with all other Enterprise Pharmacy leadership to coordinate the continuum of care for patients served by Geisinger.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college and current licensure or eligibility for licensure by the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy required. In the absence of a PharmD, a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy with appropriate clinical pharmacy experience will substitute.
Pharmacy Graduate Year 1 (PGY1) residency experience preferred. Four years of clinical pharmacy practice experience required. Graduation from PGY1 residency program will be counted as 2 years of clinical experience.
Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy or other specialty preferred.
