VUMC TempForce has opportunities for Certified Pharmacists. In this role, you will provide leadership in a specialized healthcare team and the patient to assure optimal cost-effective drug therapy. This includes developing specific pharmacotherapeutic goals, recommending a regimen and developing a monitoring plan to meet the individualized drug therapy needs of the patient. The clinical pharmacist is responsible for leading efforts in the prevention and reporting of medication errors and adverse drug reactions according to policy and works to continuously improve process and practice in the institution to enhance safety of medication therapy.
The Department of Pharmaceutical Services provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care services to Vanderbilt University Hospital (VUH), Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt (Children's Hospital), Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital (VPH) and The Vanderbilt Medical Group (VMG). This patient-centered service is provided through the Patient Care Center organization and clinic structure. The role of the Pharmacy is to promote safe and effective medication therapy for all patients and to provide oversight and leadership of the medication use system.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) and 5 years relevant experience plus Bachelor's Degree or PharmD plus five (5) years relevant experience or PharmD plus completion of ASHP - Accredited PGY1 residency training program.
Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration (LCR):
Licensed Pharmacist Required
Shift:
Varies, (6:30am-7:00pm) 7 on/7 off schedule
