Clinical pharmacists report to the Clinical Coordinator. Clinical Pharmacists are directly responsible for the implementation of all clinical pharmacy services and programs for inpatients and outpatients. They participate and assist in education and training for nurses, pharmacists, physicians and in the provision of pharmaceutical care to all patients including drug distribution. They recommend and monitor patient drug therapy and provide drug information. Clinical Pharmacists ensure that services provided are consistent with quality patient care and in accordance with all Hialeah Hospital Policies and Procedures. Clinical pharmacists are responsible for supervising the activities of pharmacy technicians and interns working under their supervision.
Qualifications:
Position Qualification: (Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities)
Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree
2 � 3 years health system experience or residency training preferred
Knowledge of pharmacokinetics, drug utilization review, drug distribution systems necessary
Required Licenses/Certifications:
Currently licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of Florida
