Position Summary:
The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for directing Drug Utilization Evaluation (DUE) studies
and Performance Improvement (PI) programs which are required by the Hospital in order to meet the Joint
Commission on standards or the hospital's internal PI programs. The Clinical Coordinator prepares agenda and all
necessary material for P&T Committee meetings; prepares all materials relating to clinical pharmacy activities and
coordinates activities of staff and clinical pharmacists. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for providing a
working knowledge of pharmacokinetics by assisting physicians and staff pharmacist in drug-dose relationships;
for providing the hospital with a safe and effective way of monitoring drugs to avoid the potential for any toxic
reaction, and providing the staff pharmacists with kinetic knowledge via In-services to assure that each staff
pharmacist displays a working knowledge to kinetic dosing; for assisting in the formation of a Nutritional Support
Team. Provision of drug and patient safety information to all members of the healthcare team. Qualifications: Education
Required: Pharm. D. or BS in pharmacy
Experience
At least one year of experience in a hospital setting as a Clinical Pharmacist
Excellent Human Relation and oral/written communication
Certifications
Required: Current and valid Florida Pharmacy License; BLS within 30 days of hire
Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30 pm
