Assists in the preparation, packaging, constant delivering and charging of medications under the supervision of a Pharmacist. Assists in the processing of new medication orders as well as discharges and transfers. Responsible for stocking medications, constant inventory management. Involved in pharmacy quality assurance activities and assists the pharmacists, management, and other healthcare professionals in performing their responsibilities. Understanding of USP 797; JCAHO; AHCA and Departmental Policies and Procedures.
Qualifications:
Education
Required:High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience
1-2 yrs previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred. Good organizational and interpersonal skills preferred. Effective oral and written communication skills. Basic computer skills preferred
License
Registered Pharmacy Technician
Certifications
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB is preferred
Candidates in unit have priority based on unit seniority
