Job Summary

Job Duties

• Assures timely and effective response to all Pharmacy Procurement requirements, including accurate and prompt document transmittal, daily inventory functions, trouble shooting and solutions of computer systems.
• Receives pharmaceutical orders (site dependent), utilizing proper system functionality, accurately and efficiently.
• Upon receiving, determines items that will need barcode remedy or prepacking prior to dispensing and mitigates item to completion.
• Electronically scans all packing slips daily, with appropriate documentation, to the packing slip email group.
• Responsible for placing received order in appropriate locations (site dependent).
• Proper scans will be done to assure barcode validity, product placement accuracy, quantity on hand accuracy and efficiency of total process.
• Works directly with the pharmacy buyers to address: want lists; backorders; overstock; quantity on hand; and recalls.
• Works from recommendation of pharmacy buyers and ICTA II, to resolve RNI and INR issues.
• Keeps up to date on current backorder and availability of items and serves as a resource for staff, at assigned site, to communicate information.
• Participates in Pharmacy Procurement backorder meetings.
• Responsible for ordering process as determined (site dependent: carousel or par).
• Responsible for maintaining accuracy of Pharmacy inventory items and participates in annual inventory process and quarterly process where applicable.
• Performs all stat cycle counts requested by Pharmacy Procurement team.
• Assists all routine cycle counts, utilizing pharmacy technicians as needed.
• Responsible for all pharmaceutical product returns due to overstock or product recall.
• Point person at site for managed recalls.
• Analyzes all par management reports and completes inventory activities required to match product usage to paring frequency.
• Analyzes Inventory Item usage to determine obsolete and low usage items.
• These will be reported back to Pharmacy Procurement Management to assess system wide status of product.
• Coordinates with team for addition or removal of formulary items.
• Maintains working knowledge of policies regarding 340b inventory process.
• Researches stock outs and overstock; and suggests product min and max quantities as necessary by communicating information to Manager of Pharmacy Procurement and Informatics and the Sourcing Specialists.
