This position is located in the Pharmacy Service of the Tomah VAMC. This position has an integral role within the pharmacy department with primary responsibilities pertaining to the overall management of the information systems for inpatient, outpatient, and clinical section. Evaluation, enhancement, implementation, and maintenance of current and future versions of pharmacy computer systems. Utilizes multiple data sources along with personal computer skills to compile comprehensive reports. Utilizes standard office applications and creative skills or specialized experience to transform data into meaningful information. Provides initial and on-going training to pharmacy employees on various computer system applications. Assists with the automated system user access and assistance in troubleshooting for any automated related equipment issues. Attends, cooperates, and contributes to various management meetings. May be designated as a purchase card holder for the Government Purchase Card. Actively involved and participates in formulary conversions, cost-savings initiatives and other projects. Responsible for national contract compliance, to include tracking and trending usage and providing recommendations and support for implementation. Monitoring medications for backorders or manufacturer discontinuations. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Financial Disclosure Report: Required
