Clinical Pharmacist Specialist
The incumbent is responsible for pharmacoeconomic program development, implementation, monitoring and reporting. Programs and program activities shall focus on formulary selection; formulary implementation; medication conversions; drug utilization evaluations; therapy treatment and pathway assessments (economic and clinical); patient health outcomes; pharmaceutical procurement and medical education and information communication. The incumbent for the Pharmacoeconomic/Procurement Specialist position has particular emphasis is placed on protocol development/implementation and outcomes research/impact assessment designed to contain drug and therapeutic treatment costs while ensuring quality patient care.
