Pharmacist (Clinical Specialist Ambulatory Care)
The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist (CPS) is a licensed pharmacist, and is responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to patients in ambulatory care clinics. Functions at the highest level of clinical pharmacy practice to provide pharmaceutical care to patients and optimizes patient care outcomes, works independently under their scope of practice as defined by the individual medical center to directly care for patients.
